And so it began…

“Having spent 20 years working in HR for various large multi-national companies, I gained extensive experience and understanding about both selecting the ideal People Solution and also the right and wrong ways to implement one. Tugela People was born out of the desire to share my knowledge and experience gained in successfully scoping, implementing and managing an HR solution for mid-sized companies.

 

Mid-sized companies (between 50 to 5000 employees) tend to have similar People system requirements to large enterprises, with comparable complexities but on a smaller scale. They need a simple, flexible and scalable solution that is easy to implement and manage, sometimes with the ability to handle the complications of an international workforce.”

Our Journey …

2012

Tugela People signed up as the inaugural implementation partner to Fairsail – a cloud-based HRIS solution that enabled companies to engage their workforce and build great experiences for their staff. Tugela People went on to become the leading partner for Fairsail and by 2017, had implemented a large percentage of the Fairsail client systems globally.

2018Fairsail was purchased by the Sage Group PLC. and was rebranded as Sage People. Tugela People maintained its partnership and remained the only partner dedicated to supporting Sage People implementations.

Tugela People expanded further, establishing two new divisions – Professional Services and Managed Services, in addition to gaining certification for delivering training on Sage People.

This allowed Tugela People to enhance its clients'  Sage People services of implementation, training, project management and post-implementation support through its Managed Services division.

2019Tugela People looked at expanding their system offerings and developing new partnerships in order to gain more autonomy and provide companies with best-in-breed People solutions.

Where are we today?

Tugela People have a core team of over 20 dedicated employees and associates with extensive international HR experience and in-depth technology expertise to audit, design and refine processes, as well as to select and implement people-centric cloud-based solutions globally.

The success that we have enjoyed since our inception is a testament to our motto “We are a safe pair of hands…small enough to care, big enough to deliver”.

We have an established and expanding global client base.
