At Tugela People, we are aware of our responsibility towards the world around us and the people in it and take a proactive approach to our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
This thinking is supported by our corporate culture; central tenets include integrity, teamwork, performance and learning.
Sustainability is a key aspect we focus on. Looking at CSR from a global perspective we strive to adopt sustainability and actively endorse a paperless office environment. We encourage responsible travel and look at ways to reduce our travel carbon footprint
Education is another focal point – we are passionate about knowledge sharing and learning at a local level in all our interactions with our clients and the communities we operate in.
Tugela People select a charity to support every year, chosen through an employee nomination and voting process. In 2021 we supported a local charity, the MK Foodbank, but this year we are pleased to be supporting the Ukrainian Red Cross.
Recognition is an integral part of the company ethos, and employees can recognise each other for living the company values by awarding wow points. Every month the employees that have received these, go into a randomiser draw, and the winner receives a voucher. The recipient can donate this to our chosen charity, and the company then matches the donation.
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility program, Tugela People encourage their employees to ‘give back’ to the community by allocating three days of paid leave a year to get involved with a charitable cause/s. Several of our employees are already involved with charities and give their time to a wide range of causes. As a Sage People business partner, Tugela People also supports the Sage Foundation.
